At approximately 5 AM an off-duty firefighter called in a commercial structure fire at a gas station/garage. Upon arrival, the first due crew, under direction of 5-24-52, made an aggressive interior attack and quickly knocked down the fire containing it to an office in the rear of the garage. Mutual aid companies were called in from several departments to assist with overhaul and checking for extension. The fire was placed under control by chief of department Kevin Murray at 5:57 AM. After crews were done with all overhaul, the scene was turned over to the town fire marshal for further investigation. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown to this point.
