Fully Involved Structure Fire

On September 4th at 1:33 am, the Ronkonkoma Fire Department was dispatched to reports of a house fire with occupants trapped. Upon arrival 5-24-31 transmitted a working fire in a 2 story private dwelling. Mutual aid was was brought in from Lakeland, Holbrook, Nesconset and Farmingville Fire Departments. St. James Fire department was brought to the main house to cover the district during the extent of the alarm. First due crews were able to make entry, search and begin to extinguish the fire. No trapped occupants were found. 1 patient was transported to Stony Brook hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported. The fire was deemed under control at 3:35 am by the Chief of the department. At 4:38 am the scene was handed over to the Fire Marshalls office and SCPD Arson.
