The Ronkonkoma Fire Department was activated for an outside fire at 1936 Hrs on Wednesday evening, but upon arrival of the first units, a working residential structure fire was transmitted by Chief of the Department Timothy Blewett. The rapid response of the first due engine from Ronkonkoma F. D. allowed for a fast attack and extinguishment of the fire, preventing the spread and minimizing additional damage to the residence. After overhaul began to ensure no extension of the fire was present, the scene was deemed under control. The incident was under the direction of Chief Blewett who released all units from the incident and all units were back in service at 2039Hrs. |
